Lindy is a residential design and construction firm in Denver. We handle both the design and the building with one team, from the first walkthrough to the last punchlist item.
For a carpenter, that means you are not working from a set of plans on your own. You can talk to the designer who drew the detail. You know the homeowner and what matters to them. If something does not work in the field, you tell us and we change the plan together.

The work has to be right
We build to the NAHB Residential Construction Performance Guidelines, and usually better than that. Nobody here will ask you to rush past something that is not finished properly. The quality of the work is the reason clients hire us, so we protect it.
Designers and builders work together
Design and construction are the same company here, so you are not sending questions off and waiting weeks for an answer. The design team is available while you are on site. If you can see that a detail will not work in the field, say so. We change drawings based on what our carpenters tell us.
Most projects are occupied homes
People are usually living in the house while we work. That means dust barriers that hold, floors covered, and treating the space carefully. Clients are trusting us with their home and we take that seriously.
The schedule is planned, not rushed
We work in three phases: feasibility, then design and pre construction, then build. By the time construction starts, the decisions are made and the materials are ordered. That is how we finish on time and on budget.
A small team you can reach
This is a boutique firm, not a large company with layers of management. Our superintendent has decades of experience running sites, and our managing partner is a licensed general contractor who came up through the trades. You can ask anyone a question and get an answer.
A wide range of projects
Kitchens, primary suites, bathrooms, full main level remodels, additions, condo remodels, and historic homes. Our projects are in Denver, Lakewood, Aurora, Littleton, and Central Park.

Qualifications
- Trade school, or previous carpentry employment of two or more years
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Communication, verbal and written, with the design team, clients, and trade partners

Scope of work
Perform all manner of manual labor common to carpentry, at standards meeting or exceeding the NAHB Residential Construction Performance Guidelines.

Minor projects are considered to be less than or equal to two days in duration.
Site organization, cleaning, and inventory
- Coordinate and receive deliveries in support of the lead carpenters
- Daily sweep and tidy of the project
- Interior protections maintenance
- Daily site lockup and security
- Supply and material runs as needed Miles must be digitally tracked to qualify for mileage reimbursement
Project coordination and communication
- Meet inspectors and document any corrections required
- Review provided to do lists with trade partners
- Maintain and update internal and trade partner to do lists, in coordination with the lead carpenters and management
Daily log
- A minimum of seven photos of site conditions or recent work performed
- A short, client friendly description of work progress
- Separate notes for internal documentation, covering hazards, damages and corrections, upcoming material needs, and site service needs
Financial management
- Prompt coding and submission of all receipts and job expenses
- Digital time tracking of hours, including geolocation
A note on the paperwork. The daily log, the photos, the receipts, and the time tracking are a real part of this job, and we ask for them every day. They are also the reason our clients stay informed and our schedules hold. If keeping good records sounds reasonable to you, this will be a good fit.
